Dear LC Makers Families & Friends,
Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, all LC Makers programming is on hold until further notice. We plan to resume programming once the local school systems return to a normal routine that includes regular after school program offerings.
Take care, Your LC Makers Board & Staff
We promote maker-centered education and the beneficial skills it instills. By offering hands-on, technical, and innovative learning experiences specializing in S.T.E.A.M. education, we aim to teach skills including: problem solving, creative and design thinking, self-starting, self-management, and grit. Our programs help to develop a sense of agency that is necessary for navigating the changing world and the future creative economy.
We encourage young people to be hands-on creators who think through problems and reach solutions through direct experience, innovation, and fabrication. We teach D.I.Y skills through the safe use of common household tools.
Children explore woodworking, sewing, engineering, computer coding, basic circuitry, robotics, vinyl cutting , 3D design & printing and more.
Your support and contributions will fund our mission and expand our programming. 100% of your generous donation will be applied to programming expenses.
